Dead-Poem by Larry Fink
Forget Eternity
Just ask for an extra day or two
Just enough time to go to your memorial
To read the obit and see how those who you have loved will love you back
Who then have spread the seeds of their concern
Would have a day off from being frozen in some eternal compositions
Inevitably just so they could join the party of their left behinds
And make sure that by some subterfuge theory that there is no despair only joy
At still being alive and joy at knowing that yet another one of us has passed through growing flowers and kicking dust in the face of irretrievable rigidity and bedding down with never-ending passion towards living.
