One of the most sought after stylists in the industry, Edward Enninful began his prolific career at the age of 18 as Fashion Director for i-D Magazine, making him the youngest ever Fashion Director for an international publication. He subsequently held the positions of Contributing Fashion Editor at Vogue Italia and American Vogue, as well as Creative Fashion Director at W Magazine. Enninful is currently the Editor-in-Chief at British Vogue after being appointed to the role in 2017.
Along with his extensive editorial work, Enninful has distinctively shaped numerous advertising campaigns and runway shows including Comme des Garçons, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Celine, Lanvin, Mulberry, Adidas, Y-3, Giorgio Armani, Valentino, Jil Sander, Calvin Klein, Fendi, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Reed Krakoff, Strenesse, Gap, Hugo Boss, Missoni, Alberta Ferretti and H&M.
Over the last two and a half decades, Edward has been a major influence in creating iconic images and made numerous meaningful contributions towards the industry. To honor his legendary career and services in fashion, he has received several professional acknowledgements throughout the years. Among various others, the most notable include: Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to diversity in fashion (June 2016), British Fashion Awards Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator (December 2014), and New York Urban League’s Frederick Douglass Medallion Award (May 2014).
