Hiromi Ueda’s versatile work draws inspiration from both her native country of Japan and her current home, London, where she’s resided for the better part of two decades. This duality permeates and informs her work, from vibrant pop-inspired designs to natural and fresh looks.
Ueda’s talent and charisma have made her a leading international makeup artist, and has collaborated with some of the world’s top photographers, including David Sims, Craig McDean, Karim Sadli, Sølve Sundsbø, Alasdair McLellan, Paolo Roversi, Collier Schorr and Tim Walker to name a few. Her work can be regularly found in publications such as British and French Vogue, i-D, Dazed, AnOther, and Mastermind, and for clients including Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, Dior Homme, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Shiseido, and MAC Cosmetics. She’s also created looks for runways for clients such as Missoni, Ferragamo, Jacquemus, Viktor&Rolf, and Ann Demeulemeester to name a few.
