Thom Walker’s innovative approach to makeup draws inspiration from architecture, using shapes and colours pulled from the urban landscape of his home in East London. Born in Northern England, Walker began his career training with MAC Cosmetics in Paris. Since then, he has gone on to create editorial work for Italian, British, and American Vogue, AnOther, i-D, W Magazine, Double, and Dazed. His charm and charisma have made him a desired collaborator with photographers including Paolo Roversi, Walter Pfeiffer, Sølve Sundsbø, Jack Davison, Theo Sion, Richard Burbridge, Nick Knight, and Rafael Pavarotti, and has worked on advertising projects for a number of brands, including Givenchy, Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen, and Off-White. He’s keyed backstage looks for shows including Ferragamo, Molly Goddard, GCDS, Maximilian Davis, A-COLD-WALL* to name a few. And he’s worked with celebrity clients including Emma Watson, Claire Foy, Kristen Stewart, Mia Goth, FKA Twigs, and Rosalía.
From 2020 to 2021, Thom worked as Chanel’s UK Makeup Artist.
In 2022, Thom was announced as Givenchy’s Makeup Creative Director.
